Questions Claude can answer from your Instagram data

Instagram Organic extracts non-paid insights from Instagram Business accounts: posts, stories, reels, audience demographics and engagement.

Next month's format mix

Ask Claude

Compare Saved, Shares and Reach per post for carousels, single images and reels from the last 90 days. Which format should we post more?

Claude puts the three formats side by side from their own lifetime datasets, and the content calendar for next month follows what people actually keep and pass on.

Unanswered popular comments

Ask Claude

Read Instagram Media Comments from the past two weeks, group Comment Text into themes, and list comments with a high Comment Like Count but no Reply Text.

The community manager gets recurring questions and complaints in one summary, plus a short list of popular comments the brand still owes an answer to.

Hashtag analysis in Claude Code

Ask Claude

Pull Caption and Reach from Reel Lifetime Insights via the dataddo server, extract hashtags and save Reach per hashtag to data/ig-hashtags.csv.

A social analyst keeps the parsing script in the team repository, so next quarter's hashtag review reruns the same logic on fresh reels instead of starting over.

With vs. without

Instagram in Claude, with and without Dataddo

Without Dataddo With Dataddo Outcome for you
Comment text at scale Comments are read post by post in the Instagram app, so recurring complaints and unanswered questions are noticed late or never. Instagram Media Comments brings Comment Text, Comment Like Count and Reply Text into Claude, which can summarise weeks of comments in one answer. Every comment read
Short-lived stories Story results vanish from view once a story expires, so weekly story reviews rely on screenshots someone remembered to take. Story Lifetime Insights covers currently active stories, so a frequent schedule captures each one while it is live for Claude to compare later. Stories kept for analysis
Repeatable analysis Caption and hashtag studies are done once in a spreadsheet and rebuilt from scratch whenever someone asks again. Claude Code queries reels and posts through the dataddo server and keeps the analysis as a script in your repository. Analysis you can rerun
Access for the social team Each person downloads their own insights, and the team argues about whose file is right. On Claude Team or Enterprise, an Owner adds Dataddo Data Access once and every member signs in with their own Dataddo account. Same data for everyone
Token consumption Claude spends tokens exploring raw Instagram columns, sampling rows and retrying until it understands the data. Field definitions and relations are supplied up front, so the model skips the exploration and goes straight to the answer. Fewer tokens per answer
Answer quality Prone to wrong joins, invented fields and numbers that are hard to check. Answers grounded in defined fields. In the Dataddo benchmark, 78.5% of questions were answered correctly, against 65.5% with plain CSV files. Better answers

More right answers. Half the confident mistakes.

We asked 43 pre-registered questions of three real datasets - Google Search Console, HubSpot deals and Google Ads - and delivered the same rows to the same model in four ways. Only the data layer changed.

78.5%

of questions answered correctly - the best of the four delivery methods tested

2x

fewer confidently wrong answers - 14.0% of runs against 24.0% and 26.3%

2.8x

more correct answers on messy CRM data - better on 8 questions, worse on none

Answered correctly All 43 questions - higher is better
Wrong, but stated as fact Share of runs - lower is better

Same model, prompts and rows in every condition; 759 graded runs, ground truth frozen before any run. On Google Search Console alone, documented CSV files did as well as Data to AI™ - the advantage comes from messier data such as HubSpot deals.

Which Instagram accounts can Claude read?

Instagram Organic extracts insights from Instagram Business accounts. To pull the same data from several brand accounts, turn on multi-account extraction when you create the source.

Yes. Instagram Media Comments includes Comment Text, Comment Like Count and Reply Text, so Claude can group comments by topic and point out popular ones without a reply.

Can Claude reply to comments or post on Instagram?

No. Claude only queries Instagram data that Dataddo has extracted. You decide what to reply and publish in Instagram itself.

Why are only some stories in the Instagram data Claude sees?

Story Lifetime Insights is only available for currently active stories, so schedule the source often enough to capture each story while it is live.

Can I use the Instagram data in Claude Code?

Yes. Run claude mcp add with the Dataddo URL, then sign in with /mcp or claude mcp login dataddo. Credentials stay in your system keychain while Claude Code queries the same datasets.
